Born on the Columbia River in Washington, Linda’s roots are in Montana on the Crow Indian Reservation and Upton Butte. She is a member of the Crow Tribe, Newly Made Lodge Clan, and the Night Hawk Dance Society of Lodge Grass. She has a BFA from Montana State University in ’80 and an M.ED from MSU-Billings in ’92. Her focus of study was painting, ceramics, education, and the Arts of Native Peoples. Linda Pease has been a lifelong artist and performer, emanating from generations of creatives. She merges images and designs of her Grandparents’ lives into the traditions and unique landscape of “Crow County” she depicts. Whether storytelling, painting, or making Native dance outfits for her grandchildren, Linda Pease’s creations are a unique reflection of her life.
