I have always had a passion for fashion. I believe your outward appearance and the apparel you wear is the greatest form of self-expression. Wearing beautiful clothing and jewelry is the most authentic way of enhancing one’s self-confidence and elevating an ordinary outing into one of a more grand experience. My mother was an exceptional seamstress and made most of mine and my sisters’ clothing growing up. Little did I know, and not appreciate as much until I was older, that this was her way of setting us apart in that her designs were one of a kind and not to be replicated by any of our peers. I have been designing my own outfits for as long as I can remember often sketching designs and working to replicate them with “off the rack” mixes of apparel. I did not begin sewing my own clothing until after my mother passed away nearly 6 years ago. Sewing my own clothing, and designs for others, is a way of connecting with my mother on a more spiritual level and honoring her creative spirit and legacy. I began marketing my designs 4 years ago and have found a niche creative outlet; I only wish I had more time to devote to this passion fully.
