My Name is Nicole Niessa Soldier Wolf. I was given the name Voena’hane’e (First Kills Woman). I am a self taught Indigenous artist from the So’taa’ee Band of Cheyenne representing the Northern Cheyenne Nation. The great nation of the Northern Cheyenne reside in South Eastern Montana, bordered by the Crow Nation and the Tongue River. I am currently based out of Billings, Montana.
I gravitated towards combining contemporary and traditional styles in my jewelry making. Using the most basic and simplistic artistic applications. I like to specialize in reusing vintage components in their most simple elegant form. My designs have included the conch shell and the traditional styles that my ancestors have adorned for centuries. What started out as just a hobby has become a full time job and I truly appreciate providing for my customers a unique quality product.
