I am an enrolled member of the Crow tribe. I am a
contemporary Native American artist and I have exhibited my work nationally and internationally for over 50 years.
I have also been involved in creating traditional native art for most of my life. I started beading at the age of 12, being taught by my aunties and grandmothers.
I am the founder of Fierce Women Warrior society, a society that is intergenerational and empowers native women at risk.
As a traditional Native American artist, I am commissioned by many tribal members to make traditional cultural items.
I currently live in Bozeman, Montana. I have two children, Dr. Vanessa Watts Simonds who is a professor at Montana State University Bozeman, and a son named Noah Watts who is a professional actor and musician.
I have two grandchildren, and I have many nieces and nephews with whom I continually share my traditional cultural heritage and knowledge.
